A View from Above: Drone Camera Masterclass
The use of drones has revolutionised cinematography in recent years. In this session, drone photography specialist, Matt Harmsworth discusses his Film + TV work, as well as the skills and knowledge needed to build a professional career in the industry. Matt is a Director of ROAVR Group based in the Highlands and has been deployed worldwide as a high-end creative professional. His credits include Wild Rose, Transformers, The Last Knight, The Retreat, Countryfile, Rolls Royce, National Geographic, Wild Rose, Outlander, The Crown and many more.

Crafting a Career: Set Decoration and Props Buying
Led by experienced industry professional, Euan McCraken, this session will take you through the day-to-day life of a props buyer, sharing insider tips on where to find the perfect items, how to stay true to the script’s vision, and why attention to detail can make or break a scene. There will be behind the scenes examples from Euan's work in TV as well as a chance to ask questions about careers in production design. Euan’s most recent credits include Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth for Sky, Coldwater for ITV and MINT for BBC. He is currently working on a new drama series for Channel 4 named Maya.

Animation with Rachel Bevan Baker
Highland based animator Rachel Bevan Baker returns to Eden Court to discuss her animation career and deliver a 2D animation workshop for participants. Rachel recently art directed A Bear Named Wojtek which was shortlisted for an Academy Award, and is now directing a trailer for an animated feature film.

Story Mode: Inside the World of Narrative Game Design
Great games tell unforgettable stories — and behind every one is a team of creatives bringing entire worlds to life. Join Justin Alae-Carew, Co-Head of Games at Bafta Award-winning independent digital production company, Blazing Griffin, for an inside look into game creation from a narrative perspective. Justin has helped shape and expand Blazing Griffin’s work across platforms with a particular focus on IP, working with characters like Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot and Maurice LeBlanc's Arsene Lupin, to adaptations of board games like CATAN. In this session, he explores what it takes to craft compelling interactive experiences, and how to successfully reimagine well-known IPs into immersive, story-driven games.

All industry sessions are free and take place at Eden Court Highlands. Prior booking is advised.
