Brian Ó hEadhra & Fionnag NicChoinnich

Brian Ó hEadhra | Fionnag NicChoinnich perform songs from the Gaelic, Scots and Irish traditions as well as newly composed material drawing inspiration from music and cultures primarily from the North Atlantic fringe. This concert will also feature Órla Ní Eadhra and Ró Ó hEadhra. Over the past 25 years, they have performed across the globe and recorded on many albums with acts such as Anam, Cruinn and Mackenzie, as well as performing on various projects including international films and game soundtracks. Fionnag NicChoinnich received the Gaelic Singer of the Year award at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Awards 2020 whilst Brian was nominated for the same award in 2019.


Deira

Recently awarded with first prize in The Battle Of Folk Bands at Celtic Connections 2022, Deira is a trio based in Asturias (Spain). Their music has a strong connection with Scottish music as they are influenced and inspired from many musicians in the scene. Their style is presented as a renewal of traditional music, with contemporary arrangements and atmospheres. They started playing together in 2019 when they were hired to play every night in the Asturias tent at Interceltic Festival of Lorient in Brittany. After obtaining several awards with his album debut they are currently on a tour that will take them to important folk festivals during this year.
