Emerging Glasweigan indie-folk artist Hector Shaw has been favourably compared to the likes of John Martyn and Jeff Buckley for his thoughtful storytelling and emotional energy. His debut 5-track EP 'Gravity', recorded at An Tobar on Tobermory and released in May, received national radio play from the likes of BBC Introducing and The Roddy Hart Show, and was supported by publications like the Scotsman and the National. He features at Under Canvas accompanied by Orla Noble on electric guitar and Liz Thomson on bass.
Mike McKenzie is a queer singer/songwriter based in Edinburgh. His writings manoeuvre their way through an eclectic background of Pop, Folk, Americana and Singer/Songwriters landing somewhere between Tom Odell and Brandi Carlile. After winning BBC Scotland “Singer/Songwriter of the Year” in 2019, Mike went on to play some iconic venues including headline shows at King Tut’s, Sneaky Pete’s and Rosslyn Chapel. With more releases planned for this year, his latest single “Saving Grace” gained multiple national radio plays by Jo Whiley (BBC Radio 2), Grant Stott and Roddy Hart (BBC Radio Scotland) and Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio).
