Of Fish and Foe

  • Film

A family of salmon fishermen battle with activists to save their traditional way of life.

The Pullars are the last salmon net fishing family in Scotland. They fight with enemies on all sides but are determined to protect their way of life. OF FISH & FOE paints a nuanced picture of a controversial family of salmon fishermen and the actions of animal activist groups Sea Shepherd and Hunt Saboteurs who oppose them at every turn. However, a greater enemy gradually emerges. An enemy from a different class. An enemy who will finally overcome the Pullars to make this the last salmon net fishing season ever; and so extinguish a Scottish way of life followed for hundreds of years.
