Rhona Macfarlane

Montrose singer-songwriter Rhona Macfarlane has the spirit of folk music running through her blood. With ancestors hailing from the remote Scottish islands of Harris and St Kilda and growing up around the records of Joni Mitchell, John Martyn and Nick Drake, it is no wonder she has been described as someone who “has the soul of someone years beyond her age”. Macfarlane holds the folk heritage of storytelling at the heart of her music but delivers it in a modern light.

The Planet Hour

The Planet Hour are an Aberdeen-based indie-folk-rock band. Their catchy choruses and energetic live performances have earned them a reputation as a solid live act. Their most recent single Sink or Swim was released in May 2024 and they were shortlisted for Acoustic Artist of the Year 2023 by The Weekender.
