Join us for a special evening celebrating the life and musical legacy of Fergie MacDonald — affectionately known as The Ceilidh King.

For more than six decades, Fergie’s traditional ceilidh sound and distinctive accordion style defined dance floors across Scotland and far beyond. Yet it was not only his music that drew people in — it was his warmth, humour and unmistakable Highland character. Fergie had a rare gift for bringing communities together, filling village halls with energy, laughter and pride.

Led by his son John Fergie MacDonald, daughter Morven and a host of long-standing broadcasting band members, the family and musicians who knew him best will bring that unmistakable Fergie sound to the stage in tribute to his remarkable career.

The evening will feature special guest artist Ruairidh Gray, including a performance of the hit Loch Maree Islands, the tune that saw Fergie reach number one in 1966.

Expect an uplifting night filled with stories, reminiscence and the timeless music of one of Scotland’s true Highland characters.
