Financial growth, critically acclaimed events and a Venue of the Year award capped a milestone year for Eden Court...

“Sharing unforgettable moments with our audiences and community here in the Highlands is what drives us, and we look forward to building on this momentum in 2025, bringing the very best arts and culture to the Highlands all year long.
We’ve seen a 5% increase in ticket sales this year and this increase combined with our positive response to the challenging economic environment has seen us achieve financial stability, with a modest operating surplus of £123,000 - 1.8% of our turnover.”
- Rebecca Holt, Eden Court’s Chief Executive
In January, the inaugural SPARK Festival launched in partnership with Dogstar Theatre and Playwrights’ Studio Scotland. The four-day festival showcased the voices of playwrights from the Highlands and Islands with the aim of cultivating creativity in Highland theatre.

Springtime saw another busy term with our Studio Programme of classes culminating in a dynamic Summer Showcase, where many young performers got their first taste of treading the boards. We welcomed Brazil's finest dancers, São Paulo Dance Company, for a stunning performance that fused the elegance of classical ballet with the sensuality of Latin American dance. An appearance from the late, great Janey Godley on her final tour would sadly be her last at Eden Court.

The iconic stretch tents of the annual Under Canvas music festival brought the summer vibes to the banks of the River Ness, whilst inside the building Hollywood legend Russell Crowe took to to the stage and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang thrilled family audiences.

As autumn rolled in, Eden Court entered one of its busiest periods of the year, with the 22nd Inverness Film Festival delighting movie-goers with a diverse line-up of premieres and special events; celebrating cinema from around the world. Skye’s acclaimed Niteworks played their final show to a rapturous audience, marking a significant moment in the band’s career and the Inverness music scene. Shortly after, Eden Court cemented a dynamic year of live music by winning Venue of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. As another vibrant year of arts and culture at Eden Court drew to an end, Jack and the Beanstalk – this year’s pantomime – opened to five-star reviews and audience acclaim.
