Innes Anderson
DramaInnes has been involved with Eden Court Theatre from a very young age. She travelled back and forth from Ullapool to inverness 3 times a week to attend dance, drama and musical theatre classes. It was at Eden Court where she herself received the training, confidence and encouragement to pursue a career in the performing arts.
When she reached 16, Innes auditioned and gained a place at the Musical Theatre Course at the Dance School of Scotland for a two year of intensive MT training course where she completed her ATCL diploma in Musical Theatre. It was at The Dance School where she met some incredibly inspiring tutors and discovered that her true passions lay in acting.
She then gained a full scholarship to The Academy of the Live and Recorded Arts in the North of England, during which she’s performed classical and contemporary theatre roles as well as working a lot with TV, film and radio.
Since graduating from ALRA North in 2015 with a BA (Hons) degree in Acting she has returned to the Highlands to begin her career as an actor.
Since then she has worked in many corporate and creative capacities of the industry. She has done everything from training videos and medical role-plays to theatre, short films and web series’. She also had the opportunity to tour Lochaber with a children’s show with Eden Courts in-house creative team.
Innes has been working with children and young people in the highlands for 3 years now and is delighted to be teaching on the very same staff that inspired her all those years ago.
Coming from a rural community herself, Innes understands the importance of theatre and the performing arts for those that may not have it provided in their own schools. Innes believes that no matter the skill or experience level, the art of performance and drama is something that can have incredible benefits throughout a persons life. Innes loves working with children and believes in creating a creative, comfortable and safe environment to allow children to express themselves freely.
