Niamh Corkey

Raised by a family of folkies in the Kingdom of Fife, Niamh's songs weave elements of jazz, country and classical music into her Scottish and Irish traditional roots. Equally as inspired by contemporary folk songwriters like Madison Cunningham and Adrianne Lenker as she is by the greats like Joni Mitchell or indeed George Gershwin, Niamh has crafted a sound that is warm, ethereal and wholly unique. Recently championed by Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2's Jazz Show, her new EP 'I'll Meet You More Than Halfway There' showcases her intricate arrangements, featuring regular collaborators Timmy Allan (guitar) and Roo Geddes (fiddle) who will be joining Niamh for this performance.

Scott C. Park

Together with his band, Scott C. Park (the C stands for Caravan) delivers catchy slacker-indie confessionals that are razor-sharp, loose and swaggering all at once, with powerful walls of vocal harmonies and guitar solos that hold on for dear life. While his music borrows stylistically from slacker-rock legends like Pavement, Wilco, and Neil Young, Park’s lyricism is firmly rooted in the Outer Hebrides, drawing on hyper-local references to paint his picture of growing up where the wind howls, and the preacher howls louder. At this Under Canvas show he'll be performing brand-new material.
