It's not just about what you say, it's how you say it, with Steph Smart
An acting workshop that explores how we engage with the characters we create, the world around them, and the others within that world. Using acting techniques and approaches, we'll explore text and subtext, combined with voice work and body language to demonstrate that it's not just about what you say, but how you say it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Which day should I attend?
We have split the weekend by age range. Friday is suitable for 10-16 year olds, Saturday is suitable for 8-15 year olds and Sunday is suitable for 14-19 year olds. You are welcome to attend one or more of the days across the weekend but we encourage you to take a look at the content warnings of the shows or get in touch if you have any questions.
Q. Do parents or carers need to stay?
All young people who purchase a day ticket will be supervised throughout the day. We will ask all bookers to complete a short form to make sure we have emergency contact information, any medical or access information, and who will be collecting at the end of the day. Parents/carers are welcome to stay in the building and make use of the Eden Court cafe if they would like to.
Q. What to bring?
Please bring food with you for the dinner break and any snacks or drinks you would like during the day. Food will also be available for purchase from the Eden Court cafe. You don't need to bring anything else, other than a positive, give it a go attitude!
Q. What to wear?
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in but we recommend loose, comfortable clothing suitable for workshop activities.
