Sgrìobh | Scrieve
With Anndra Cumming + Lucy Beth

Eden Court and Tobar an Dualchais - Kist O’ Riches are delighted to present Sgrìobh | Scrieve: two new song commissions in Gaelic and Scots performed for the first time at Under Canvas. The project celebrates the diversity of Scotland’s languages from east to west and has supported two fantastic young artists - Anndra Cumming and Lucy Beth - working in Doric and Gaelic to research traditional songs and stories and create brand new commissions.

Pàillean nam Bàrd
With Marcas Mac an Tuairneir

A selection of contemporary poetry and music in Gaelic, Scots and English exploring name, language and identity from the new collection How Do We Talk About Knives.

One of the editors of the collection, Marcas Mac an Tuairneir (Mark Spencer Turner), himself a critically acclaimed and award-winning writer who has been a force on the Gaelic and wider-Scottish literary scene for over a decade, will perform with Mary Ann Kennedy and Ceitidh Chaimbeul.

Thanks to Comhairle nan Leabhraichean (The Gaelic Books Council) for supporting this event.
