We are hosting a day of free and fun activities for all, as one of hundreds of Fun Palaces across the country and around the world this weekend!
It’s an amazing chance to pick up new skills or share YOUR knowledge and passion with your community…

Skills Speed Dating
What are you really good at? Sewing on buttons? Dog training? Sign language
What would you love to learn? To change a tyre? How to do handstands? Salsa
Just come along and sign up to offer what you can teach, or to request a skill you’d like to learn. We’ll try and match up as many people as possible on the day!

Get ready for Halloween!
Learn to do horror make-up from our resident expert, Hayley, and how to make slime from slime aficionado, Michelle.

Recycling on Wheels
Pick up skating skills from Inverness City Roller Derby team members and discover some eco uses for upcycling plastic bottles.
Help clear up the local environment whilst getting fit. Bring any wheels you have – skates, scooters, heelies – for a litter pick in the vicinity of Eden Court, the cathedral, and along the river front.
If you bring a bottle, you can make a planter and we have seeds for planting.
If you have an innovative upcycling project come along and share it with others.

Action Art
Get creative on a HUGE scale!
We have everything set up to make a real-time, hands-on art attack installation that we'll be streaming live online... Use whatever objects you can find to create something wonderful and ever-changing!
The Eden Court Fun Palace sharing and celebrating the skills of everyone. Join us this weekend and master new skills from your neighbours, share hobbies with friends old and new, and celebrate the passions and enthusiasms of all of us.
Fun Palaces is an ongoing national and international campaign, nurturing and supporting the potential and positivity of sharing people’s enthusiasms, passions and skills with their own community. Fun Palaces bring together the cultural skills of those in local communities for others to learn and enjoy, and have previously included artists, scientists, theatre-makers, knitters, astronomers, magicians, engineers, gardeners, singers, conservationists, swimmers, geologists, dancers, triathletes, crafters and more, showcasing and sharing arts, science, technology, history, crafts, digital and sports. Fun Palaces has an annual weekend of events each October.
