“I’m so pleased to be able to help Invergordon's Park Primary following the awful events at their school last week. I really hope they enjoy the production and thank Eden Court and the Birmingham Stage Company so much for making the show available to all the pupils and teachers” David Walliams

Since 2014, Eden Court’s engagement team have been working with Park Primary school to cast, rehearse and perform their school Summer show for the families of Invergordon. Last week, after a major fire destroyed the school and the majority of its contents, we really wanted to find a way to help the pupils and teachers at this difficult time. We were delighted to partner with D&E coaches and the makers of Billionaire Boy to offer the entire school a free trip to see the stage adaptation of David Walliam’s fantastic story.
Neal Foster, Director of Billionaire Boy, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting Invergordon's Park Primary at this difficult time – we hope they have a fantastic morning watching David Walliams great story”
After this morning’s performance, Caitlyn Morrison (P6) told us she thought the show was ‘really funny and good’ and Daisy Dunnet (P1) added ‘the girls were my favourite’. Along with their teachers, the girls went back stage with the cast and crew for a photo and a look at one of the very special props from the show (no spoilers!).

Teacher Ellen Mcphee from Park Primary told us that “the boys and girls really enjoyed it, there was lots of laughter. I think it was just what they needed and it was nice that we all got to have a nice wee day out together after everything that’s happened. It was so lovely of the guys to take us back stage as well to get their photos. Exciting!”
Donald Mathieson (Managing Director, D&E Coaches) said "We are delighted to be able to provide the transport for all of the pupils from Park Primary School to come to Eden Court to see Billionaire Boy. We were really saddened by the devastating fire and wanted to do something to help. We hope they enjoy the show and have a fun day out"
James Mackenzie-Blackman (Eden Court Chief Executive) said “I’m so delighted we have been able to welcome the entire school community to Eden Court today. I’d like to thank my colleagues, the producers Birmingham Stage Company but most importantly David Walliams for his support and generosity in making this opportunity possible for this Highland school devastated by fire”
Thanks to everyone who helped make this visit happen for Park Primary!
