New Opportunities for Highland communities to work with Eden Court
We’re delighted to announce In On The Act, an exciting new project that will support home-grown arts and culture in Highland communities.
In On The Act will work with community partners from four areas of the Highland region to realise original pieces of live performance which reflect local people’s experiences and hopes for the future.
We plan to initiate creative conversations with people from each area, exploring their stories and aspirations for their communities. Professional artists will be commissioned to create four new shows in response to the themes that arise. Local people will be invited to engage with the development process through work-in-progress sharings and, in some cases, as performers.
By the end of the project, four new performance pieces will have been created which represent and celebrate Highland communities as they are today. These will take place in both the areas themselves and on Eden Court’s stages in Inverness.

In On The Act is supported by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, one of the UK’s largest independent funders whose key aims include nurturing creative, confident communities.
