Our building is full to the brim with young people from Eden Court Youth Theatre rehearsing for their end of term shows. It’s an In-Service day for our local schools, which means our team have been able to book in a day of extra rehearsals to make sure we are as ready and confident as possible for our performances.
Here's the background stories for the performances on Thursday 13 June:
Eden Court Youth Theatre 11-13yrs are performing Gone. It’s about a school trip to the mountains but the adults have disappeared. As tempers flare, love kindles and friendships fracture can the group come together to survive?
Eden Court Youth Theatre 14-18yrs are performing Emily and The Howlers Hollow. It’s base in the woods outside the nowhere town of Midvale in an abandoned house with scorched rooms and boarded windows. Long ago something terrible happened there, or so the stories go. But is there really any truth to the myths? What horrors can be found deep in the belly of the tangled wood? And what will become of the old ways when a stranger arrives in Midvale?
Eden Court’s studio programme is all about bringing people together in creative spaces to explore theatre, dance, visual art, film, animation, singing and musical theatre all the while growing your confidence and having lots of fun whilst doing so.
If you haven’t given any of our workshops and classes a go, the summer holidays are a perfect time to see if they are for you. We’re running week long courses in Theatre Arts, Foley Filmmaking, Musical Theatre and YDance, Scotland’s National Youth Dance Organisation, are joining us to run a foundation course in dance too. Check out our classes.
