It was the snow blocking the roads four years ago that made D & E Coaches and Lochinver Primary decide the best plan was an overnight stop for the bus driver – making sure they were ready bright and early for the 8:30am start the following morning.
That first year the head teacher sorted out the driver’s bed for the night at her sister’s B&B. And now every year D&E’s dedicated driver makes the 100 mile journey from Inverness up to Lochinver the night before the school trip. So come December, even if there’s snow forecast, D & E Coaches will go the extra mile to ensure the children of Lochinver make it to the show on time.
Sandra Macleod, Lochinver Primary teacher told us:
The children are so excited! They look forward to the annual trip to the panto each year. It is a long day for them, but lots of fun. They enjoy the bus journey and love seeing the Christmas lights in Inverness on our way home after the show too.
Lochinver Primary is one of almost 60 schools from across the Highlands who will make the journey to see Beauty and the Beast at Eden Court in December. We wish you a safe trip and look forward to welcoming you all for a magical show!
