Morna Eadie, Tailormade Moves Director, shares memories of performing at Eden Court; what she loves most about Under Canvas and why Tailormade Moves came on board as Event Partner.
We are a local Inverness based estate agency, so maybe not what first springs to mind when you think of a music festival. However, I am a huge live music fan, as is Karine McRae Simpson, my fellow Director (pictured above left, beside Morna), and the rest of the Tailormade Moves team, so we are thrilled to be part of Under Canvas again this year.
I love Eden Court and have been coming here for years to enjoy every aspect of what it has to offer, from classes to the cinema and many different productions on stage, including comedians, musicals, ballet and of course the Panto! I’ve even had the privilege of performing on stage in both the OneTouch and Empire theatres. As part of Inverness Musical Theatre, I’ve most recently been seen as a cocktail wielding mother in Legally Blonde earlier this year and as the reverend’s wife in Footloosein 2019. I’m very much looking forward to returning to the stage and being part of their next production, The Wedding Singer, next Spring. I love being on stage but I am happier watching musicians so I’m leaving the Under Canvas stage to the amazing acts performing this summer!

I always feel like I’m on holiday when I’m in the Under Canvas tent. As well as enjoying the music (and perhaps a glass of wine!), I am so happy that Tailormade Moves is part of making the Festival possible. Running for two months with 80 performances, the festival provides a stage to hundreds of talented Scottish musicians to showcase their work. I love going down to see new musicians, local talent and the DJ sets at the weekend in such a fantastic setting.
And of course, if you’re thinking of taking your moves beyond the dancefloor – check us out.
