Claire Darcy
Jazz Dance TutorOriginally from Inverness, Claire trained at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, graduating with distinction from a three-year musical theatre program in 2009.
As a passionate local teacher and choreographer, Claire has provided dance training to young individuals in Inverness and beyond for over 15years.
Her choreography credits include events such as Strictly Inverness, the STV Appeal, The Highland Fashion and Hair Show, as well as fashion shows for the Archie Foundation and The Highland Hospice.
Claire has also worked with Almack Productions, where she choreographed performances of Nunsense, Little Shop of Horrors, and the popular touring children's show, Misty's Magical Adventures.
Her professional theatre experience encompasses: three years as a dancer at the MOVE IT exhibition in London; Princess So-Shi in Aladdin; Laura in Bad Musical at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; and Lucy in Alcohol Awareness with Out of the Darkness Company. Over the past 13 years, Claire has worked with Imagine Theatre at Eden Court, taking on roles such as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, serving as dance captain and ensemble member, and for the last six years, working as their choreographer.
Claire is thrilled to return to teaching the Adult Jazz class at Eden Court. This class is filled with enthusiastic dancers of all skill levels and offers a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. If you're searching for a class to join, be sure to give it a try!
