Drew Tremlett
(he/him)Producer, Film + Visual Arts & NPA Film TutorDrew Tremlett is our Producer for Film & Visual Arts as well as the lead on the BFI Film Academy at Eden Court and has many years' experience of academic practice within the field of moving image production and theory. His practice focuses predominately in the areas of Film Studies, Media Theory, Communication and Creative Writing, amongst others.
He is also the co-founder, alongside his colleague Chak Hin Leung, of Filmlands, a network for new, emerging and existing filmmakers in the Highlands and Islands region which supports increased communication, collaboration and production in the region.
Prior to joining Eden Court, he taught undergraduates on the Digital Media degree at Stirling University and has over a twenty-year academic career he has previously taught film and media practice for Essex University, Anglia Ruskin University, University of the Highland and Islands as well as fulfilled curriculum management roles at further education centres in Cambridge and Essex.
Prior to entering education Drew worked previously for BBC Scotland, Independents Productions as well as a number of freelance production roles. He is also an award-winning filmmaker and is the recipient of the BBC Talent 2000 scriptwriting award. He lives on the Black Isle with his wife, son and a lazy border collie.
