Ellie Hawcutt
she/herBallet Dance TutorEllie began her dance journey at just two years old. Growing up in York, she trained at the Patricia Veale School of Dance for 18 years and earned a scholarship with the Louise Brown Yorkshire Ballet Associates, where she studied for six years. Her passion for performance led her to play the role of Mary Poppins at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre before moving to southern England to pursue a degree in Biology at the University of Plymouth.
While studying, Ellie continued to share her love of ballet as a coach for the university dance club, teaching three classes per week, including the competition squad. Her choreography earned her team third place in the intermediate ballet category at the Loughborough University dance competition.
After graduating, Ellie relocated to Inverness to work as a wildlife ecologist. There, she discovered contemporary dance classes at Eden Court and met like-minded people with a love for performing arts. Now, Ellie is excited to teach ballet at Eden Court, believing it provides a strong foundation for all styles of dance. She looks forward to meeting the dancers and sharing her passion for this beautiful style!
