Look back at a week that turned Eden Court over entirely to young people - packed with performances, premieres and a festival atmosphere that filled every corner of the building.

Youth Arts Festival

Our Youth Arts Festival is our yearly celebration of new work created by participants in our Studio Programme. Over the course of one weekend in June 2026, young people took to the stage in our OneTouch Theatre, appeared on screen in our cinemas, and shared their work across the building. Alongside performances, participants took part in workshops, learned new skills and met new people.

The festival ran across three days, each dedicated to a different age group. Friday saw performances from our Youth Theatre 14-16 and Musical Theatre 10-16 groups, Saturday brought performances and screenings from young people aged 8-15 and Sunday closed the festival with work from those aged 14–19 - followed by a wrap party in our iconic Under Canvas tent.

National Festival of Youth Theatre

Eden Court was proud to host the 2026 National Festival of Youth Theatre!

Scotland's National Festival of Youth Theatre (NFYT) brought together an explosion of young creative talent, celebrating the power of youth theatre at the largest gathering of youth theatres in the UK.

NFYT gave young people the chance to celebrate a shared passion and develop as artists and creative thinkers. With its emphasis on inclusion, education and collaboration, this is a festival that removes barriers, teaches valuable life skills and delivers unforgettable experiences participants won't forget.
