Futures Studio

Futures Studio is a youth led project for young people in the Highlands and Moray who are facing complex challenges in their lives.

The project aims to help the young people build their skills and confidence through taking part in creative activities and enable them to pursue further education or develop careers in the creative industries

The young people who take part will have opportunities to try their hand at film making, sound design, music production, photography and performing, working with professional artists who help them find the artform that inspires them.

They will develop their skills in their chosen artform and can choose to progress towards accreditation in Youth Scotland Awards.

The direction of the project is led by the Futures Studio Steering Group, a small group of participants who have benefitted from similar projects in the past. Together with staff, and artists, the Steering Group make decisions on the content of the sessions, and what opportunities the project can facilitate for the young people taking part.

Young people apply to take part in Futures Studio, using an online self-referral form. They can complete this themselves, or with the support of their family, or a relevant organisation.
