Last weekend, we held our first LGBTI+ Elders Social Dance Club event which is part of a year-long engagement programme throughout Scotland which ends in 2020 with a spectacular ball in Glasgow.
We caught up with Amy Watt, Producer, Theatre Projects here at Eden Court to find out how it went:
We had a great time at the very first LGBTI+ Elders Social Dance Club in Inverness on Sunday. The two hours flew past, filled with interesting chats, plenty of tea and a good bit of disco dancing! We were delighted with the turn out and look forward to having new faces join us on the 9th June, 2pm-4pm in the MacLean Room at Eden Court. Dancing not compulsorily!
The next LGBTI+ Elders Social Dance Club will take place on SUN 9 JUN at 2pm in the MacLean Room at Eden Court. There will be refreshments, music, lots of folk to chat to, a chance to meet new people, connect with the LGBTI+ communities and if you fancy it – have a wee boogie.
LGTBI elders and groups can book in for this session, or register their interest in taking part in The Coming Back Out Ball social events by emailing awatt@edencourt.co.uk or calling 01463 732 695.
