  • Drop In Class
A class for older dancers, who are still very active and want to develop their dance skills and creative expression in a friendly, focused and supportive atmosphere.

This physically active class builds strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and creative skills through contemporary dance techniques based in somatic awareness. Our conditioning warm-up is followed by standing centre work, moving combinations, improvisation and choreography.

A reasonable level of fitness is required. New participants of any level are always welcome.

Term breakdown

Term 1: Mon 24 Aug - Mon 5 Oct, Mon 26 Oct - Mon 9 Oct

During this term we’ll get to know each other and will focus on developing confidence, technical skills and creativity.

Term 2: Mon 11 Jan - Mon 8 Feb, Mon 22 Feb - Mon 22 Mar

During this term we’ll start to explore ideas for a piece to be performed in the Spring Dance Platform. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you intend to perform.

Term 3: Mon 12 Apr - Mon 21 Jun

During this term we’ll continue skills development and include rehearsing for the Spring Dance Platform performance. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you intend to perform.
