Engagement Programme Co-ordinator Morag Russell introduces our new batch of classes for 2022, available to book now!
It’s approaching New Year which means a new programme of studio classes for us! We are delighted to see the majority of classes from our last block return and are thrilled to introduce a couple of new ones too.
My first 4 months at Eden Court as the new Engagement Programme Co-ordinator have been wonderful and it was a joy to see lots of classes start back in September and to meet so many of you. I’ve loved hearing how important our classes are to you all and how happy you are to be in the building once more. I’ve equally loved meeting those of you who have come into our spaces for the first time- I have no doubt it won’t be the last time either.
We understand the importance of our classes and how critical the social aspect, as well as the creative, is to many of you. We are hopeful to see even more classes return later in the year when the time is right. We are also still giving careful consideration to all our classes and what feels appropriate to reintroduce in line with our Visions, Missions and Values and the current guidance available to us.
What's on offer?
2022 sees the return of our Eden Court Youth Theatre, Youth Dance and Youth Film classes. Due to high demand, we are really excited to let you now that we are able to introduce a second class for Youth Film! We have now split this into two groups for ages 13-15 + 16-18.
For our younger participants, aged 3-5, we have Mini Makers back on Wednesday mornings. You can stay and enjoy the fun or head down to our café for a peaceful coffee for an hour, knowing your little ones are in safe hands creating some magical stories to tell you later.
After a successful first block last term of workshops, projects and creative chats, our Eden Court Collective returns for young creatives aged 18-30. We look forward to coming together in January to work towards a devised contemporary piece of work utilising the skills of our performers, writers, producers and more in this group.
Ath-Mheasgachadh Seann-Nòsach is our new Gaelic music remixing class. For beginner to intermediate Gaelic speakers with an interest in Gaelic music, this is the perfect class for you!
Continuing online, with a hope for a few face-to-face events in the coming months, our Queer Youth Arts Collective is a welcoming and open space for young, queer people to chat, make and feel part of a community.
I Heart Drama, Dance for Parkinson’s, Contemporary Dance and Gracenotes are also all back – and watch this space for details about Jazz Dance which we hope will be back too.
We can’t wait to see you all again very soon and get 2022 off to the best start possible!
